I found a sketch from May 24, 2001, back when I’d just kinda started digital sketching. Some sort of rally Golf with a cowcatcher, I guess? And the requisite, for the time, hood pins.
Welcome to the pre-9/11 world! I’m still looking for some older stuff, but I suspect it’s lost to the sands of time.

Imagine an original iPhone as your monitor.

Strangely, this was close to the Golf I saw in a dream, except black and widebody - mid engined, too!

A rare relic from the days of Netscape. Cars nowadays need more cowcatchers. What is one to do when faced with a roving highway herd?

Not to say it isn’t what you the originator said it is, but it looks to me like a new mini boned a veloster and this is the angry love child.

Well, this was about 1o years prior to the Veloster, so.

I guess I was previewing the walking dead before that was a thing.

Oh I’m not trying to knock you at all sorry if that’s how it came across!
I more so was amazed that you were so forward that modern vehicles seem to have your cues.

No worries at all. I post old shit like this because it’s really interesting to me that people clue into things and design around that. And it really interests me how much the tools we use have changed, and the things we try to do have changed.
I was really surprised to have found a sketch that old!

This will be the new excuse for having a cowcatcher on the front of your Toyota Yaris.

Can never be too safe, really.
